Prior to VB&P, she served at James D. Wolfensohn. Her success was acclaimed in 1995 by Global Finance who named her its Latin American Superstar. Prior to Ms. McCausland-Seve worked at J.P. Morgan, where she rose to Managing Director leading Latin American Restructuring Advisory, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Latin American Credit Analysis. She serves as a Member of Board of Advisors at The Americas Group. She served as a Member of Advisory Board at Stuart Lammert & Co. Ms. McCausland-Seve serves as a Board Member of The City Center, The New York Latin Media & Entertainment Committee, Casita Maria, the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce, as well as Director of the United States-Mexico Chamber of Commerce’s Northeast Chapter.

Ms. McCausland-Seve Founded the Millennium board for Colombia’s President, which has continued under the current administration of President Uribe. She has been awarded a Fulbright amongst other honors.

Corporate Success

Pedro Heilbron is CEO of Copa Holdings and of Copa Airlines, which offers service to 59 destinations in 28 countries in North, Central and South America and the Caribbean from its hub at Tocumen International Airport in Panama City, Panama.

Heilbron joined Copa Airlines in 1988. Under his leadership, Copa established the “Hub of the Americas,” one of the most successful and efficient hubs in Latin America. Heilbron also spearheaded Copa’s partnership and strategic alliance with Continental Airlines in 1998.

Other achievements during Heilbron’s term of office include the acquisition in April 2005 of Aero República, the second-largest airline in Colombia, and Copa Holdings’ IPO on the New York Stock Exchange in December 2005. Latin Trade Magazine awarded Heilbron a Bravo Award for CEO of the Year in November 2006. He was named Executive of the Year by the Panamanian Association of Corporate Executives (APEDE) in July 2008. The APEDE award is given to corporate executives who have distinguished themselves in their professional duties, their social responsibility and their personal lives. In July 2009, Heilbron accepted the Airline Business Lifetime Achievement Award from the internationally renowned magazine, Airline Business. The award is one of the two top recognitions presented every year by the magazine.

Heilbron is past president of the Latin American Airline Association (ALTA) and a member of the Board of Governors of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Heilbron graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass., with a bachelor’s degree in economics, and earned an M.B.A. from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Founder and CEO of Wizeline

Bismarck Lepe is the founder and CEO of Wizeline, a venture capital-backed company specializing in artificial intelligence-powered business applications, machine learning and software development services. Founded in 2014 and headquartered in San Francisco, Wizeline now has nearly 200 employees, three-quarters of whom are located at the company’s Guadalajara, Mexico office campus — the company’s largest. Wizeline in early October 2016 announced the opening of its third office location in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. By the end of 2017, Wizeline expects to have over 600 employees.

Prior to founding Wizeline, Lepe co-founded and led Ooyala, a video technology and analytics company that was acquired by Telstra in 2014 for $420 million. Like Wizeline, Ooyala has software engineering operations based in Guadalajara. Lepe has also invested in or advised on numerous companies that are active across Silicon Valley and Mexico, including Kueski, Bright, Revver, Codefights, Soccerly, Reserbus and many more.

Beyond his role as founder and CEO at Wizeline, Lepe recently announced the launch of Wizefund, a $5M evergreen fund focused on investing in technology startups started by Wizeline employees. Announced in early 2016, Wizefund co-invests with Silicon Valley investors and funds, and also helps support programs such as StartupGDL to educate founders on the basics of starting a company.

In 1985 he left his career as a financial and systems manager in Hewlett Packard Guadalajara to start CompuSoluciones. He had the vision to found a company that would provide excellent service to the customers, professional and personal development to the employees; that would comply its fiscal obligations and be a profitable business.

Awards received:
• 2007 Expansion magazine named him one of the 100 most important business people in Mexico.
• 2011 he was named by E&Y as The Entrepreneur of the Year in IT services in Mexico.
• 2012 he was recognized for his business trajectory by Endeavor. Awards received by the company:

At Endeavor she met Vicente Fenoll (kubo’s CEO-Founder) kubo.financiero was just an idea. Nowadays, after being part of the creation and growth of kubo.financiero - 2014, she is in charge of creating new operation areas like a contact center, marketing, communication, UXUI, culture and at the same time develops different projects including raising capital rounds and help the people grow as an employees but most has a person. Her passion is kubo’s team. She hepls to grow the team form 10 people to more than 70 employees in 2017, that will help to generate more employment and social impact in Mexico.

Catalina Escobar is a Colombian businesswoman and international speaker. She is president and founder of The Juan Felipe Gomez Escobar Foundation, that is determined to breaking the cycles of poverty by improving the quality of life of children and teenage mothers. She was nominated a Top 10 CNN Heroes in 2012 and was awarded by the Colombian President, Juan Manuel Santos, with National Merit Order Award in the year 2011.

She has been recognized as the Social Entrepreneur of the year (2015) by the World Economic Forum and Schwab Foundation and has been awarded the 2015 World of Children Humanitarian award. JA Americas reaches more than 1.2 million students across 31 countries each year in Latin America, the Caribbean, and Canada. Leonardo leads this network and is responsible for setting the strategic direction of an organization with more than 45,000 volunteers and 5,000 businesses and partners across the region. A native of Cordoba, Argentina, Leonardo began his career with Junior Achievement as an intern at the Cordoba chapter and quickly rose to become its Executive Director. During his four years leading JA Cordoba, the program rapidly expanded to reach over 75,000 students in 60 locations and recruited 35,000 volunteers from more than 200 sponsors.

Ricardo Obregon

Ricardo Obregón Trujillo earned a business administration degree at the Medellin Escuela de Administración y Finanzas, and a Master’s Degree in Latin American Economic Development at London University. He spent a year on a doctorate on Latin American Economic Development in a Research Field and also earned his MBA at the Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, 7 year later he earned a Global MBA from University of Tulane.

He held many positions in the Bavaria Company, culminating in his appointment as CEO from 2001 through 2006. During this time, he successfully led the merger of Bavaria with SABMiller for a value of around US$7.800 million, after effectively taking the company from a 55% capacity utilization rate to an 85%. This became the largest M&A deal performed by a Colombian company in history. He was also CEO of the assembly company, SOFASA S.A. a joint venture between the Santo Domingo Family, Renault, and Toyota. In addition, he has been member of the board of Valorem SA the holding group of the Santo Domingo family.

Further, he served as President of Procafecol S.A., subsidiary of the “Federacion Nacional de Cafeteros de Colombia” in charge of creating and expanding the Juan Valdez brand and coffee shops across the world.

From 2008 to 2012 he served as President of Grupo Carvajal one of the largest family business in Colombia. He became the first President to be a non-family member, which demonstrates his expertise in transforming family companies into world-class enterprises. During this time, he successfully prepared Carvajal Empaques for its first IPO.

He was President and Chairman of Grupo Orbis from 2015-2017, one of the largest industrial conglomerates of Colombia.

Today, he serves as Chairman for Productos Ramos, a Colombian food company. He is also in charge of the overall results of the company.
